Greetings from Room #210. I have had some trouble getting this Blog up and running, but with the help of RUSS it is going strong. Thanks, Russ!!!
The “Lock-in” on Friday was a great success. Hats off to Ja’Qhai, Jaden, Venita and Anrtwarun! You were great! The Lock-in was from 3:45-7:00pm and included a movie, open gym, games, music/D.J. and pizza and snacks. Thanks to the administration for making this happen and thanks also to the 7th and 8th graders who came up with the idea. Students needed 85% of their DOJO points, no D’s or F’s, no write-ups/incidents and no unexcused absences. Here’s to hoping even more students will qualify for the next incentive.
Just to remind parents:
All 7th and 8th grade students are required to have 5 “Do Nows” for Social Studies and Science each Friday. These are short (4 sentences) responses to subject area material. They do not take long to do, but MUST be turned in so as to get a passing grade. If your child misses one, science can be found on the BLOG. EVERY Friday a CURRENT EVENT is due in Social Studies as well. These assignments should be 100% your child’s responsibility, however it would be best to double check that they are turning them in. The PARENT PORTAL will also give you all information for grades and missing assignments. The Class DOJO also has a Parent Portal that you can access at any time to check on behavior/study skills. If you have not already done so, please sign up. Any questions, please email me and I can help. Have a great week and stay in touch-MSBreit@cps.edu
